With the majority of the gyms across the country closed due to COVID-19, working out at home is a new concept for those of us who are gym rats (guilty!). I’ll be perfectly honest with you–the hardest part, for me, of this quarantine is my gym being closed. I know I always preach on here how staying physical is so important to mental health, but until you’ve actually gone without exercise for an extended period of time, you realize how true that statement really is. And now more than ever, it’s important to stay physical to keep our immunities up and our mental game strong. Thankfully, we have YouTube to help us out with this. Below are at-home workouts that are sure to get your heart rate up and keep you toned. I’ve done these workouts personally and stand by them. Best of all, they require little to no equipment. I’ve even thrown in some yoga videos for you. I do yoga everyday in addition to my workout–it keeps me flexible and mentally grounded. If you’ve never tried yoga, now is a great time to give it a go.
Cindy Crawford – Shape Your Body
This one is an oldie, but an oh so goodie! There’s a total of 3 workouts in this video: 2 full workouts and then a quick 10-minute total body workout at the end. I used to do these workouts in high school, and let me tell you, they work!
Cindy Crawford – The Next Challenge
For an even more intense workout, try Cindy Crawford’s The Next Challenge. I’m telling you, these workouts are no joke and will get your heart pumping. They’re by far my most favorite at-home workouts because they actually work!
ChriskaYoga – Hatha Yoga for Beginners
If you’re brand new to yoga, this is a great video to start with. It’s very basic but very relaxing. I like doing this before I go to bed. It helps ease tension in my body and prepares it for a restful night sleep.
Vicky Justiz – 15 Minute Full Body Workout
If you haven’t subscribed to Vicky’s channel yet…what are you waiting for?! She has a whole library of awesome at-home workouts that require little to no equipment. Try this 7-day workout challenge she recently uploaded–all the workouts use body weight only, so no need to worry about any equipment.
KinoYoga – Yoga For Relaxation
Another great yoga video for beginners. It’s just a little over 20 minutes long, but it’s not strenuous and it really does release those muscles for ultimate relaxation.
Ashley Horner’s Full-Body Tabata Workout
Get ready to get your ass kicked with this workout…it’s no joke! This is a high intensity, full-body workout that will leave you gasping for air. All you need are dumbbells and a Tabata timer.
20-Minute Cardio Focused Power Vinyasa Yoga Class with Michelle Stanger
Want to up your yoga game? Try out this cardio focused power vinyasa yoga video. I recommend watching the video through prior to actually doing it. It’s a faster flow than the other yoga videos I shared, so having some sort of idea as to the poses helps you get the most out it.
